First one I gonna comment on is LA VIE EN ROSE, a french biography about the oh so talented Edith Piaf. Ok after I watched the show then I knew that Piaf was actually a made up name, it means 'sparrow' in french.
MY GOD they really make the actress really ugly. Ok I know this is really offensive to Madam Piaf. But it's a fact she's not exactly pretty.
SO I GUESS that's why she won the best female performance(OSCARS) this year?
Ok overall, I rate this 3/5 stars. People who don't intend to know more about Edith Piaf . JUST DON'T BOTHER TO WATCH IT. SERIOUSLY. I watch it cause I love her voice and j'aime francais(I love french).
NEXT I will review on Blood Diamond.
I enjoyed watching BLOOD DIAMOND because firstly it's a true story. Secondly, it's an action-packed movie. Lastly, there's LEONARDO DICAPRIO in it. Well not exactly an appropriate reason for why you should catch it, but for the girls you know he's cute so that's a good enough reason for me to watch.
Ok seriously, this film refers to blood diamonds, which are diamonds mined in African war zones and sold to finance the conflicts and profit the warlords and the diamond companies across the world ,and how the innocent Africans are being exploited.
This film really change the way on how I would look at diamonds again. Will we be able to stop the demand for them if we stop buying diamond products? Will the conflict diamond issue ever stop?
Overall rating : 4/5 stars
LASTLY...'MAD ABOUT ENGLISH' the documentary
ERM. If you have been heading down to Mc Donalds rather often, you will definitely know this movie which pokes fun of mainland China's english. You know how their signboards always have some grammatical errors, or I should say MOST OF the signs have problems, and their menu. OMG THAT WAS THE SCENE THAT CRACKED ME UP. There was this dish called " Human flesh for a short time" , I bet foreigners will be so freaked out by that.
So this film basically is about how the China people prepared themselves for the Beijing Olympic events.. picking up English lessons..etc.
The intensive camp was too hardcore I must say. Ok i should stop saying about it. TOO MUCH SPOILERS.
